Accessible Learning Design
The aim of this unit is to enable learners to identify barriers to learning and validate how the use of technology can support engagement with learning. Learners will be able to create and adapt accessible learning resources using a range of purchased and free sourced software programs as well as evaluating and testing solutions to make sure that they match requirements and are fit for purpose. Learners will also understand how IT can be used to support and enhance learners’ with individual differences, perspectives and understanding.
An example of what you will be able to do after competing this unit is to be able to adapt learning materials to be more accessible like creating audio files as podcasts for those who are visually impaired or have Dyslexia.
Safe and Responsible Online Use
With a growing trend for learners and organisations to conduct online learning there remains opportunities for individuals to be put at risk both personally and professionally.This unit aims to show understanding of the barriers and risks to both individuals and organisations who conduct online learning, working or personal development. Furthermore, the learner will identify ways to overcome these risks and seek clarification of the penalties and legal aspects of not acting safe and responsible online.
