This section contains information, tips and guides on how to make the most out of the learning technologies we have here at Sparsholt College and Andover College. In addition to the support provided on this page you can book a place on one of our regularly run training session for making the most of the resources on this page as well as many other learning technologies via Passport to Success.
Office 365
Office 365 is a 'software plus services' that offers the usual Microsoft Office package, such as Word and Outlook, but they are powered by the cloud. This means you can access, work on and share live versions of your files from anywhere with an internet connection on both Microsoft Windows and OS X operating systems.

Mahara
Mahara is an e-portfolio and social networking web app that allows you to create and share digital portfolios containing a variety of media such as videos, audio files, journal entries and more!

Moodle
Moodle is a virtual learning environment (VLE) also known as a learning management system (LMS) or an e-learning platform. Moodle is designed to provide educators, administrators and learners with a single robust, secure and integrated system to create personalised learning environments.
Moodle has several features considered typical of an VLE, such as: discussion forums, assignment submissions, online calendar, online quizzes, online feedack; in addition to some original innovations like its filtering system. SPTV
SPTV is a video streaming tool that works in the same way as Youtube. It allows video to be streamed across the network and can allow viewers to comment on and search for videos. It can take a wide variety of video formats from a number of different sources and devices and turn them into movies that can be embedded in your Moodle classroom, in a Mahara page or viewed directly from the SPTV user interface.
