If you have applied for full time Performing Arts then try your hand at the Musical theatre Challenge, or, if you have applied for Acting you should have a go at recording yourself performing a Shakespearean sonnet.

Performing Arts: Musical theatre Challenge!

You will need to learn a short song, piece of movement and a short part of the script for the attached musical - see the Word documents below. We have included both the male and female parts, however, feel free to challenge yourself with either gender role!  

When you have completed this, record it and send it back to us so that we can see the amazing work you have completed. Try and put as much character and imagination into this as you can!

Acting: Shakespearean Sonnet 

Pick a Shakespearean sonnet of your choosing and record yourself performing this. Feel free to be as imaginative and creative as you wish! See below Sir Patrick Stewart has been recording daily sonnets on his Twitter here.

You might also want to get involved with the EtonX programmes. Please note these are paid for courses that your current school may already have access to. These are not essential so please only use them if you are able.

As a Performing Arts students you will develop your skills in acting, singing and dancing. Our expert lecturers will also help to prepare you for any auditions you may achieve when looking to take the next steps in your career.
